Natural way to quit smoking

Find similar sites

I maintain several websites, all of them offer information, which, I hope, can help the interested people to find out about things, which might not be available elsewhere.
Short overviews of each of those sites are available at another page

I maintain a site, where I talk about various "challenges" of buying dental treatment, in particular, about pressure-selling tactics, as well as outright fraud I experienced over the years.

Many "secrets" about that have been "confided" to me by another dentist, I also used quite a few examples from my own "experience" in that area.

I am not aware of any other such site anywhere in the world!

One of my sites describes how to reduce accent in the shortest time possible.
Many people pay plenty of money for accent reduction tutoring. I show how to do it with minimum expenditure of time and money.

On another site I describe how I cured my arthritis without medications or diets.

I also share my experience in reducing high blood pressure / managing hypertension through a centuries-old method.
It is so effective, it can normalize blood pressure quite literally in minutes!

I maintain a site with information about dangers of fluoridation.
More than half of municipal water supplies in North America are fluoridated. This is done against overwhelming scientific evidence that fluorides pose a serious health hazard even in trace amounts.
I have unerthed some information, which I have not seen on any other site, which deals with fluoridation.

I have a site, in which I show the woeful state of nursing education, where instead of learning clinical skills and clinically related subjects, nursing students were spending plenty of time staging and playacting theatrical skits, preparing posters, writing essays, make-believe "community projects" and so on.

I set up that site back in 1998, after my stint in one Toronto nursing school.
Again, I am not aware about a similar site anywhere else.

However, if there are sites out there somewhere, which also tackle these issues, a good way to find them would be by doing a "meta search".

There are many search engines, which specialize in this type of a search.

What is a "meta search"?

If you open any website page in a text editor (NOT a browser or a document editor), then you will see a whole bunch of "meta-tags".
You can find them written in different ways - "meta tags", "meta-tags", "metatags".
They are coded statements which are designed to carry certain description items, pertaining to the technical aspects of a website / webpage and are not visible when you view a webpage in a browser.

The following "meta-tags" can be seen on the main page of this site, if you open it in a text editor.

<META content="English" name="language">
<META content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" http-equiv="Content-Type">
<META content="document" name="resource-type">
<META name="rating" content="General">
<META content=0 http-equiv=expires>
<META name="site" content="Natural treatment of substance addiction">
<META name="pagename" content="Main page">
<META content="quit smoking" name="categories">
<META content="addiction" name="categories">
<META content="Treatment of addiction, treatment of nicotine addiction" name="classification">
<META content="Global" name="distribution">
<META content="Web Page" name="doc-type">
<META content="Completed" name="doc-class">
<META name="Author" content="Oleg Chmelev">
<META content="Copy written Work" name="doc-rights">
<META content="© 2006-07 Oleg Chmelev" name=COPYRIGHT>
<META NAME="Document-state" CONTENT="Dynamic">
<META http-equiv="Content-Style-Type" content="text/css">
<META NAME="DESCRIPTION" CONTENT="Nicotine craving has a very simple physiological origin and can be removed in a matter of days, possibly hours">
<META content="quit smoking, stop smoking, nicotine craving, substance craving, ion-exchange bed, toxic substances, lithium salts, enzymatic precursors, bromine salts, dietary supplement, sugar substitutes, hectic lifestyle, sniffing paints, sniffing glue, sniffing gasoline, ion exchange, mineral supplements, trace minerals, ascorbic acid, vitamin C, kidney stones, MSM, msm, dietary sulfur, metalloenzymes, hydrogenated fats" name=keywords>

On other sites you can have even more of those metatags, in addition to this you can find the meta-tag, which indicates the last date the site was modified and also the email address of the webmaster.
I do not use those.

Some webpages are generated automatically, there are no meta-tags on those, however, if it is a "pre-written" page, then a thoughtful and knowledgeable web designer puts all the required information about the site into those meta-tags.

You do not see this information, when you open a website in a browser or a document editor, it is probably of little or no interest to an average web surfer, their main purpose is to carry "technical" information about the website, which can be used for specialized purposes, especially by the search engines.

As you can see, each meta-tag has a "name" part and the "content" part.
Those metatags can be in any order.

The "keywords" metatag has all the keywords under which the webmaster wants this page to be indexed.

When someone types a word or a group of words into the search engine window, it is then compared against a database of those keywords and the list is compiled, in which the sites / webpages are arranged by rank.

The exact algorithm, which every search engine uses to calculate the page ranking, is, of course, a closely guarded secret, but it is helpful to know that if you are trying to find out about something and you have typed a particular word or a group of words into the search engine, a "meta search" engine would give you a list of similar words, expressions, which occur most frequently in the keyword meta tags of websites, which contain the keyword / expression you are searching for.

This way you can tap the "hidden resources", which may not be available from the "ordinary" search engines.

If you do a search for just one or two words, then an "ordinary" search engine can do the job just fine; but if you are researching a subject, which cannot be described in just a couple words, especially when it is a subject of a specialized nature, then a meta search engine may well do a better job.
From my experience, using a meta search engine does indeed considerably speed up things.

To find these search engines, you can do a search for the term "meta search" and try a few till you find the one you like most.
